Building Safety, Confidence, and Experience: H.S.E. Highlights 2025 – by Stefon Ali & Sade Branch

At IRP, H.S.E. isn’t just a requirement, it’s the foundation of how we work, collaborate, and deliver excellence to our customers.

In 2025, the H.S.E. team focused on strengthening employee awareness, skills, and confidence, while continuing to build a proactive and inclusive safety culture across the organization.

A key focus this year will be expanding engagement and strengthening systems. Certification-Based HSE training continued to support capability building, while project-specific HSE support ensured safe execution across key initiatives.

Key 2025 HSE initiatives included:

  • Hosting HSE competitions to actively engage all staff in advancing the HSE culture
  • Comprehensive revision of the HSE Management System (policies, procedures, ERP, plans, goals, and targets)
  • Integration of ROSE HSEMS and IRP HSEMS
  • Development of new company-wide risk assessments (Annual, Emergency, Health)
  • Revision and development of task-based risk assessments (ongoing)
  • Enhanced job site presence through HSE Leadership Site Visits

Certification-Based HSE training conducted in:

  • Fire Warden
  • First Aid
  • Defensive Driving
  • Confined Space
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
  • Incident Investigation
  • Lift Plan
  • Hiab Operator
  • Rigging and Banksman

Key 2025 HSE achievements include:

  • Zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) across all operations, including regional jobs
  • Successful OSHA inspections at Bejucal locations, with all action items closed
  • Fire / Life Safety certificates issued for the Warehouse and Head Office
  • STOW TT Re-certification Audit completed, achieving a 2-year certification and capturing services from the Rose merger and IRP operations previously not included
  • Ongoing HSE support and documentation development for the EBS project in Suriname, in collaboration with the EPS team
  • HSE leadership and documentation for the SBM Marine Hoses Re-certification Project, including outsourced HSE support, completed with no injuries
